After a one-day XML course, students were asked for the
best and worst aspects of the course.
Best |
Worst |
- Lots of explanations for "off topic" questions.
- Didn't make us feel stupid.
|
- Not enough time to play with editor.
- Not enough support when editor wasn't cooperating.
|
- Got a good overview of SGML, HTML and XML.
- More knowledge on XML - realizing it's not that complicated.
|
- Thinking whether I'll remember all this on Monday.
|
|
- More time with practical examples would be good - perhaps a 2-day course.
|
- Hands-on, can do your own DTD, great.
|
- Hands-on specific for Regulatory should be longer.
|
|
- Didn't finish all material as hands-on.
|
- Hands-on approach to learning.
- Opportunity to ask questions.
- Presented in a way that was both informative and entertaining.
- Instructor was very helpful and knew the material very well.
- Liked the fact that the instructor utilized a variety of teaching methods to address the different learning types
(i.e. asking students for answers, using overhead and chart board, etc.).
|
- Would like to have spent more time focusing on how to utilize XML documents such as the TPD 3011 forms.
(Should have spent more time looking at 3011.dtd, mono.dtd.)
- Session seemed very rushed near the end.
- Spend more time on DTD rather than on creating the structured XML document.
- We did not cover all of the overheads that were given to us.
- This course could have been done over a 2-day period in order to cover all topics.
- I would like to have another training follow-up session after I actually utilize XML at work.
|
- Hands-on training.
- Instructor approachable.
- Environment facilitated questions.
|
- Spend less time on basics and more on end product.
